On 14th October 2017 AIBSNLPWA District Branch
Thanjavur in the evening visited the orphanage and senior citizen home which functions from Kaduveli , a small village near Tiruvaiyaru about 12 kms from
Thanjavur. Headed by Com V. Swaminathan, DA, a volunteer team comprising of Comrades M.
Irudhayaraj, K. Santhanagopalan , Vice President
, S.K. Seenu Treasurer along with 30 active coms (including 12 lady coms) celebrated Deepavali
in advance along with the inmates of the
Ashram. A gathering of 500 students comprising of all age groups studying in primary
to college levels and also more than 100 senior citizen.
A warm Welcome address was given by Sri. Viswanathan, in charge of the Ashram who with whole
heartedly welcomed us all and our coms K.
Santhanagopalan, M. Irudhayaraj , Vijayakumar
spoke on the occasion fittingly and greeted all the inmates. About 550 Colourful
New Ready made Dresses for all students
and senior citizen were distributed along with Sweet Boxes as Deepavali Gifts
to them and an amount of 5000/- was gifted for fire and crackers .
The In Charge and all the Staff of the
organization were also given Ddresses for
Deepavali as a token of appreciation for their marvelous service . The inmates
comprises of orphans, destitutes, senior citizen
without proper care from their families
etc. The Thrilling moments that prevailed there could not be explained and there is no such equivalent moment that
might come in our lives in future to compare with these soul touching moments .
All the children and elders were in an extremely happy and joyous mood throughout the celebrations and conveyed
their happiness, gratitude and Thankfulness in a very different happy body languages.
The In Charge of the Home honoured
all our Gem of Gems with Shawls and Swamy
idols as a token of their love and affection. This kind of Noble celebration is
being celebrated for more than 17 golden memorable years and will also continue if God permits for the coming many more years with His Grace.
It is better to lit a lamp than to
curse the Darkness.
