There was some problem
in MTNL in the start as new PPO s for about 10000 retirres in Delhi and about
12000 in Mumbai.New set up.new concept took time.But in case of BSNL PPOs are
already prepared.I donot think any problem for BSNL retirees.CCA,Delhi informed
us that there was lot of problems faced from banks and Post offices .In MTNL
there is no problem....

Under CPMS, the
function of PDA (hither to with Banks/POs),
is vested with AO PDA o/o CCA. This gives relief to Banks and POs. Reconciliation of pension payment becomes
possible. For pensioners, it may be a bit inconvenient initially. Pension
should be remitted by CCA to banks in time. Life Certificate should be
submitted to AO PDA o/o CCA. Form 16 will be issued by AO PDA.
The advantage to
pensioners is calculations of IDA, arrears etc will be correct.....Conversion
to Family Pension on death of pensioner might be easier......After initial
hiccups this procedure works well in MTNL Mumbai and Delhi.
