ensioners Day Celebration in Coonor District

Pensioners Day  was celebrated  in Coonor in Pensioners rest Room Coonor, on 18-01-2017 in a grand manner.

Coimbatore District Secretary and Tamilnadu Circle Vice President Com.B.Arunachalam was the chief Guest.

President Com.Viswanathan (Retd DE) presided over the meeting.

Secretary Com.Doss welcomed all and narrated the District Association's activities. He anoounced that 3 new comrades have joined our association. He also told with pride that GM has agreed to allot one Room for our Pensioner in Ooty.

NFTE service union had well arranged Meals and other requirements and which was appreciated by all our comrades.

Com.Arunachalam spoke about the importance of the Pensioners Day, Glorious judgement of Court, our struggle to get 78.2% IDA merger and annulment of 60:40 formula, Our success in CAT for Pension anomaly Case, our further step to get 7th CPC recommendations implemented for BSNL pensioners also on IDA basis etc.

Nearly 40 members attended and made it a grand success.

In the picture our BSNL building is shown which is 150 years old, built in 1870 by the British Government.
