The Noble way of Deepawali Celebration by AIBSNLPWA THANJAI .News.11.11.2023.
BSNL HELPING HEARTS is the sub unit of AIBSNLPWA Thanjavur.
AIBSNLPWA helping hearts THANJAI every year celebrates Deepawali festival in a noble way by donating dresses ,crackers, sweets in advance to mentally retarded people , blind and deaf persons , old age homes and with students, seniors and super seniors every year and this is being continued from the year 2000 onwards and this is the 24th year of Grand Celebration.
In addition, we are celebrating Pongal festival (Mahara Sankrandhi) also in a grand manner with distribution of sweet Pongal, sugarcane with banana to all. In addition every Ammavasya day we are providing traditional Tanjurian lunch with delicious items every month for about 800 persons.
This year on the occasion of Diwali 19 .10. 23 starting with
1. Anpalayam is a home for the mentally challenged persons.
2. Selvamalar Home for mentally retarded children.
3. Mentally challenged ward in Tanjore Raja Mirasudar Hospital.
4 .Government Visually Impaired School Students.
5. Government hearing impaired school students,
6. Government Girls (Students) Archive.
7 .Guild of service students home.
8. Guild of service students house.
9. Sewalaya Nursing Home.
10. Osanam Nursing Home.
11 .Indian Children's Welfare Society (Red Cross).
12. Students of Christu Raja Higher Secondary School.
13. We have provided full and partial new clothes in seven places and six places in Kaduveli Venkateswara Home for destitute students and old women. We have distributed Jangiri, mixture to around 1850 people all over the places. We started on 19.10.23 and completed on 07.11.23.
Comrades G. Bhaskaran had done field work excellently well B. Purushothaman K. Srinivasan and other distinguished comrades and friends had participated in all the events and gave gifts to the persons with sarees which they have bought from Ahmedabad on time.
We also express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Ramji now at Bangalore who supplied new sarees this year for around 625 persons. Our sincere thanks to him for his supply of sarees every year.
We have carried out this noble work at a cost of 4 lakh and 22 thousand rupees.
