Today the 10th,March,2018
the AIBSNLPWA Thanjavur District Branch celebrated the world women's day in a
grand manner more than 500 comrades including about 250 lady comrades attended
the function. Com P.S RAMANKUTTY, CHQ President, Com K. MUTHIYALU, Circle Secy , Tamilnadu , C.V.VINODH, PGM, Thanjavur
, were kind enough to grace the function as chief guests and delivered
memorable and valuable special speeches and some representatives from kumbakonam SSA also
joined the gala function and felicitated the function.
Earlier in the morning by
0900 hrs Com PSR. CHQ , President
hoisted our association flag in front of the Main Telephone Exge Complex, Maris
Corner, Thanjavur sky rising slogan shoutings were carried out. The function
started at the community hall, kallukulam, Nanjikottai road, Thanjavur.
Prayer song was presented by
Baby Aradhana, a 8 years old child
followed by Tamil vazhththu paadal. Function jointly presided over by Com A. K.
Dhanabalan, District president and Com T. N. Latha, from women's wing and
compered by com K. Ayyanar, Joint Secy and the proceedings were conducted by the
Dist Secy who also delivered the Welcome
address. The manivizha of 3 coms who had retired last month and birthday
celebrations were conducted for the coms whose birthdays fall this month were
garlanded by sandal garlands and cakes were cut amidst greetings shouting.
Then the world women's day
celebrations started and PGMT, Thanjavur inaugurated the function and in his
speech congratulated the organization and advised the working women of BSNL by quoting Pondicherry Lt. Governor's latest speech at the women's
day celebration in Pondicherry and
reminded the responsibilities of the women and the duties of the Gents
to protect the women.
Then com P. S. Ramankutty
delivered a grand remarkable speech
about the women's day celebration collecting the historical condition of the
women in India and abroad and still the condition is worst in India and it should be improved further,
quoting some examples from Ramayana and Kusela Puranas and the betterment should
be done in future and the ladies sacrifices in the day to day life from the
highly learned persons to the illiterate persons and for the improvement care
to be taken for the betterment of the world women's society, quoting with some
relevant examples and recollected the Tamilians culture and the struggles met
out by Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy and Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiar , and the Dravidan
movement in Tamilnadu. Finally he appreciated the AIBSNLPWA Thanjavur District
Branch’s unique way in organizing the
function in a special and grand manner and expressed his happiness and
gratitude and Thanks. He hailed the achievements done to the women’s problems
by our AIBSNLPWA.
Then Com K. Muthiyalu Circle
Secy of Tamil Nadu spoke and greeted the celebration quoting poetical and
historical examples with examples. Earlier the special invitees were honoured with
shawls, Rose garlands, Thanjavur Big Temple Model mementos and Thanjavur famous
sweet Asoka and Tanjurian cashew nuts
and the famous Thanjavur Thalai Aatti Bommai .
Then S. Chandra Kumari DGM
Thanjavur felicitated the function. With that morning session came to an end and
special Tanjurian delicious midday meals were served to the participants. More
than 525 persons were served with food. Earlier in the morning tiffin and special tea
and by 11.30 special tea were supplied to all the participants.
The Second Session started
at about 14.30hrs and a special கருத்தரங்கம் was conducted by the women's wing and was greeted by com. CV.
Thangaiyan, Com K.S. Krishnamurthy,Circle Union Executive Office bearers, Com.
V. Swaminathan DS, A. K. Dhanabalan, District President, Com K.
Santhanagopalan, Vice president. Lady coms from the women's wing delivered
speeches on special topics allotted to them. The participants were coms J.
Vedhanayaki, N. Manjula, V. T. Aruychelvi, Thangam Xavier, barnila Devine joseph, V. M. Anbu, A.
Udhaya meenatchi, M. Padmini, Mallikai sukumaran and presided over by com T. N.
Latha. All women speakers delivered very
nice and opt speeches to the topics allotted to them.
Then our association meeting
started com P. S. Ramankutty delivered elaborately about our formation of our AIBSNLPWA
from the beginning to till day covering the pension revision, getting 78.2%
achievements and the expected pension
revision conditions and the present day activities at the CHQ level. Com K.
Muthialu Circle Secy Tamilnadu delivered the developments and the achievements
carried out by our Association from the
beginning to till date covering all the points of formation, 78.2%, annulling
60:40 ratio hardship, one increment, pay anomaly, minimum pension cases, MRS
conditions, and the cases dealt to the family pensioners in detail.
Finally cultural functions
were conducted by the children and prizes were distributed. A Towel was
presented to all the lady coms and a small hand bag was presented to all male
coms participated. After vote of Thanks function ended and press people also
attended the entire celebration and our News report of our celebrations in
local Newspapers are awaited.
