Today, the 10th,Feb, 2018 AIBSNLPWA
Thanjavur District Branch conducted the monthly meeting at the Main Telephone Exchange
complex Maris corner Thanjavur and about 125 members attended. The meeting
started exactly by 10.00 hrs and extended
up to 14.00hrs.
The meeting was Presided
over by Com A. K. Dhanabalan District President
and the proceedings were carried out by
the District secretary. Prayer song was
sung by Com V. Devarajan welcome address by K Ayyanar,
Joint Secy and one Thirukural readout
and briefed by the president.
Then com. V. Swaminathan Dist Secy gave a brief report about the forthcoming
International Women's day celebration on 10th of March 2018 , its arrangements and requested every one for the effective
participation and to make it a grand success. He also narrated the one increment case, pension anomaly cases
in detail. Com N. Natarajan spoke about the magazine of Aibsnlpwa Thanjavur
District Branch.
Com. K. Santhanagopalan,
Vice president spoke about the happenings at CHQ , Circle and Dist level functioning in detail covering all
the points reg IDA , CDA, Extra increment, 7th pay commission report
implementation etc. All India conference
at Puri, the present improvement in the Growth of our AIBSNLPWA through out the nation and the
impact of increase of life member status, the no one position achieved by the
Bangalore City Branch and the recent activities of the Circle, Dist Branch in
detail. Com. M. Irudhayaraj readout the outcome of the grievance day meeting
held with the PGMT Thanjavur and as usual the Genl topics of today. A joint
prayer was conducted by the body in favour of coms. Ramachandra iyer, Mallika sugumaram who have been hospitalized
for some health problems. Coms Padmini, Thangam Xavier spoke about the women's
day celebration arrangements and requested every one’s cooperation for the
smooth conduct of the function.
The Mani vizha for the last
month retirees was celebrated by garlanding sandal malas and it is the unique
function being celebrated every month at Thanjavur by honoring the couples with
cake cuttings and slogans shouting etc in a gala manner. Last but not the least
Birth day celebration was conducted for the coms whose birthday fall in this
month with cake cuttings and exchanging greetings and pleasantries . After vote
of Thanks by Com K. Seenu Dist Treasurer Meeting ended with serving of delicious Tanjurian lunch.
