A grand and well organised 8th General Body Meeting of Tuticorin District Branch was held on 15-07-2017 in K.P.Kavita Kalyana Mandapam, Tuticorin.
Com.L.Thomas, District President presided over the meetinng.
Com.D.Gopalakrishnan CHQ Vice President who was our Chief Guest, a fine and heart touching speech. He narrated our efforts, steps, Dharnas conducted and meetings held with Departmental heads, ,MPs, and other dignitaries,Letter Campaigns to get 78.2% IDA sanctioned along with annulment of 60:40 formula and our future plans to get 7th CPC recommendations for Pensioners get implemented for BSNL Pensioners also.
CHQ Dy.Gen.secretary Com.S.Arunachalam, Tamilnadu Assistant Circle Secretary Com.Ambikapathy, COS Com.T.Kanakaraj, COS Com Vairamani, DS Com. Barnabas, DT Com.S.Paulsamy and others spoke on the occasion.
Tuticorin DGM. Shri. Saviour Lourdusamy and CAO Shri.Saravanan graced the occasion.
Vote of thanks was given by Com.A.Madasami Distt.Jt.Secretary.
Tuticorin Branch Total strength is about 312, in which Life Time members are 203. steps and efforts are being taken to covert all as Life members.
3 New members have joined this month.
Nearly 160 Members had attended the GB and took active participation in conducting it successfully.
78.2 Donations for CHQ and Circle have been sent for 50 Members as first installment. Rs 25,000/- and 10,000/- respectively.
About 100 members are yet to receive their arrears.
After a delicious lunch at 1330 hrs, Organisational Matters were discussed in the post session meeting.
20 Senior members who have crossed 70 years of age were felicitated with Shawls amidst thundering applause.
