November is the month for All Pensioners to give Life Certificates to banks and Post Offices. This can be done in your home Bank Branch or Post Office from 01-11-2016 to  30-11-2016. If the Pensioner fails to give Life Certificate, then his pension will be stopped from the next month onwards.

Recently the Dept. of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance has issued orders on 18.2.13 that the Life Certificates can be given in any one of the branches of that bank.

The RBI also said that if the pensioner is unable to visit the bank a representative should visit the pensioners house or hospital to get the certificate.

See its clarifications below:

In the matter of Life Certificate RBI clarified as follows: “Is it compulsory for a pensioner to furnish a Life Certificate/NonEmployment Certificate or Employment Certificate to the bank in the month of November?”

“Yes. The pensioner is required to furnish a Life Certificate/Non – Employment Certificate or Employment Certificate to the bank in the month of November every year. However, in case a pensioner is unable to obtain a Life Certificate from an authorized bank officer on account of serious illness / incapacitation, the bank official will visit his/her residence/ hospital for the purpose of recording the life certificate.” SBI LIFE CERTIFICATE FORM is attached with this circular.

LIFE CERTIFICATE FOR LANDLINE TELEPHONE:

  

All DOT & BSNL Retired pensioners have to give LIFE CERTIFICATE for Rent free LAND LINE TELEPHONE facility they are enjoying. It has to be given to the concerned Commercial Officer of the area.

If the life certificate is not submitted then monthly rent will be collected from the pensioner.

The LIFE CERTIFICATE for the same is published here . BSNL has issued relaxation orders for the handicapped pensioners who cannot appear in person before Commercial Officers.

                         Please remember that you have to produce your Life certificate to the Bank/Post office from where you receive your monthly Pension in November Month without fail. If not produced, your pension will be stopped. While going to the Bank/Post office please take your Bank Pass book, PPO book, PAN card with Xerox and Adhaar card with Xerox for verification if needed. But bring back your Original Certificates and keep them in your  safe custody.  Form will be supplied by the bank. If not, the Life Certificate form is available in our TN Circle web site. Click All Forms link and you can get Life Certificate format from it. Just down load it to your computer and take a print out.

Greetings.
Thanjavur , Madurai and Coimbatore District Secretaries have sent particulars of 78.2% IDA arrears processing cases. We expect other District Secretaries also to furnish their particulars. They are instructed to quicken the process since the dead line fixed by Govt for  payment of arrears to all pensioners is 31/12/2016.
we are glad to post the following particulars received from Madurai, Thanjavur and Kovai SSAs

Madurai SSA  Pre 2007--   522 files and all files have been processed and sent by post to CCA Tamilnadu.
                        Post 2007---  Exact figure not available. Will be sent to us as and when they get figures from Gm/Madurai office.

Thanjavur SSA  Pre 2007 -- 153 files    out of which 125 files  have been processed.
                           Post 2007 --- 293 files  out of which 151 files  have been processed and the processed files have been sent to CCA Tamilnadu in person.

Coimbatore  SSA   Pre  2007--  650files.   All files have been processed and are being sent in batches to CCA Tamilnadu through  logistics post service.
                                Post 2007 ---  1100.  The number of processed files not available. 

In this connection I request all District Secretaries to furnish the above particulars of their Districts  to TN Circle Web Master Com N.Mohan soon. The contact particulars are given below. He will be available on phone at all times.
Please visit GM office frequently and request the account section which is in charge of this process to quicken the process.
One more request to all District Secretaries, Please inform us about your Monthly Meetings, Executive Meetings or any other Special Meeting particulars well in advance with dates (photos  after the meeting if possible) so as to enable us to post them on Circle web which would be viewed throughout the world.
Frequently make efforts to contact BSNL Retired non members and tell them about our activities in getting the benefits to the pensioners and this association cares the pensioners and their families. 
To achieve more, our association must be strengthened by making more and more members to join our association.

LIONS CLUB OF AMMANNAGAR AND CHENNAI ROYAL EXCELLANCE - HONOUR SOCIAL ACTIVISTS.

The Lions Club of Amman Nagar and Lions club of  Chennai Royal  Excellance   presented award to Social Activist of the area numbering 32. The  award was  presented as part of Former President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam birth anniversary celebrations. 

V. Subramani Founder Secretary, Sabari Green Foundation  and V. Rama Rao, veteran environmental activists, and Treasurer, Sabari Green Foundation, Chennai, have been honoured with ‘Patriot 2016’ award by Lions Club of Amman Nagar, 324 A6, Region 8 Zone 1, for rejuvenation of water-bodies..

 Mr. V. Rama Rao said many like  minded NGOs, neighbourhood Associations, and General Public especially women take interest and  join with us  while cleaning/rejuvenating the lakes or ponds.  Many Corporate companies send their CSR volunteers.  Peter Van  Geit, a German National, head of the Chennai Trekking Club joined with us in many of our projects besides their project numbering 50 to 60 volunteers.  He appealed to the State Government to have a seperate  Ministry, Secretary   and Department for water  and also create Lake authrority of  Taminadu with more powers.  

We wish him for many more such awards.

Executive Body Meeting of AIBSNLPWA, Coimbatore was conducted on 25-10-2016 at 1000hrs in our Association Room in CTO Complex, Coimbatore.
5th Tamilnadu Conference Reception Committee President Com.B.Arunachalam presided over the meeting. 
Taminadu Circle President Com. V.Ramarao and Circle Secretary Com.K Muthiyalu were the chief Guests and Star Speakers of the meeting.
Recently concluded 5th Tamilnadu Conference accounts were submitted by the Reception Committee Treasurer Com. K.Sivakumar, which was accepted unonimously.
The Highlight of the accounts submission is handing over of surplus amount of Rs 2,13,252 ( Rupees Two Lakh thirteen thousand two hundred and fifty two ) to Coimbatore division with a thundering applause 
Com. Ramarao and Com K.Muthiyalu spoke about our struggles behind the success of 78.2% IDA and scrapping of 60:40 formula, our growth and future plans etc in detail.
Com.T.Periasamy of Tirupur was retired on 01-05-2000 and was getting pro-rata pension. Since he had served in the dept for more than 10 years, he is eligible for full pension. With the initiation of our Circle secretary, he has received arrears of Rs 1,08,000/- from 01-01-2006. As a mark of his gratitude, he has donated Rs 4500/- to our Circle Union and Rs 500/- to Pensioners Patrika. He will be getting more than Rs 1000/-.per month 
Com Super Selvam had performed a wonderful magic show in our Circle Conference at Coimbatore. He was given a Citation by our Circle Leaders. He informed that he is ready to conduct the magic show in any of our conference with his group in Tamilnadu or anywhere in India.
Com.Jothiraj, TM was a VRS Optee . His pension sanction was getting delayed for a long time and by the sincere efforts taken by Com. Muthiyalu, the pension has been settled and PPO orders are issued now.
It has been proposed to conduct the Annual General Body meeting of Coimbatore on 10th December 2016 in Thomas Hall Coimbatore. It has been proposed to invite Com.D.Gopalakrishnan and Com K.Muthiyalu to grace the function.
More than 100 members  attended the meeting. 
At the end of the meeting Lunch was provided.

Com.Muthiyalu will attend the Pensioners Day meetings on 
17th/Dec  at Tirunelveli, 
18th/Dec  at Madurai    and on 
19th/Dec  at Virudunagar

CCA Office Chennai informs that 
PENSION ADALAT will be held on 07 .11.2016 (MONDAY) in "THE HALL OF INSPIRATION, ANNA ROAD TELEPHONEXCHANGE, DAMS ROAD, CHENNAI- 600002" at 14.00 hours for the pensioners and family pensioners of the Department of Telecommunication & BSNL of Chennai Region and neighbouring districts. For other districts, the date and venue will be intimated later.

Com D.S. Ramalingam STR Div.Secy,  has gone to CGM TN CIrcle Office Greams Rd yesterday (24-10-16). He met the accounts officers there and enquired about 78.2% pension revision progress.  They said that they were making preparations for processing the cases. The pay bill section is only looking after this 78.2% pension revision work. They said that they were now busy with employees salary payment work and bonus payment work. They asked him to come after 1-11-16. Anyhow he requested them to process the pension revision cases quickly.  

Corporate office has  instructed to pay Bonus payment Rs.3000/- before 28th of this month to all employees.  we request our eligible members  to check their bank credits for bonus payment after that date.

We hope that 78.2%  pension revision work at CGM Office will get momentum after 1st of next month.

      AIBSNLPWA Coimbatore, conducts their Executive Body Meeting Today. The Reception Committee is expected to submit the audited accounts of recently concluded TN Circle Conference expenses. It is believed that the Reception Committee  is about to return a huge amount of about 2.13 lakhs to the District. Com B.Arunachalam, the Reception committee President proudly informed in the AGB of STR branch that their  members are very liberal to donate to our Association and a huge amount of more than 8 lakhs had been donated by their own members. Hats Off to Coimbatore Comrades.

Dear Comrades,
Tamilnadu Circle Secretary Com.K.Muthialu and STR Division Chennai  Secretary Com. D.S Ramalingam had visited Greams Road Office and  met Finance officials very frequently. They have given pressure to quicken the process. We will publish the particulars and processed files numbers soon we get the figures from them.

Since SSAs are sending the processed files directly to DOT, we are unaware of the particulars and particulars. Anyhow the works are going on in all SSAs very fast. Will contact SSAs individually and will publish the figures as and when we get them.

We are glad that that our CIRCLE  has launched a new webwebsite '' aibsnlpwatncircle.blogspot.in'' and the WEB master shall be com N. MOHAN of STR, Chennai.

We thank com K. RAVEENDRAN RETD DGM, Cuddalore who was maintaining the Circle website  and till date (15/10/16), 108416 have beneficially  seen.
