AIBSNLPWA TN CIRCLE

The 13th Annual General Body Meeting of the Chennai traffic division of the AIBSNLPWA

was held on 14/7/18 at chennai RPR Residency Mylapore Chennai.  A good gathering of about 275 members attended. Our General Secretary com G. Natarajan inaugurated the 13th G.B.

Com Arputharaj com Vittoban, com Ghouse Basha com R Venkatachalam expressed and extended their best wishes for the success of the GB.
Com.Ghouse Batcha briefed the history of our association .In 2003 com Ramarao was the founder president of then Retired Pensioners Welfare Association then in 2007 TN BSNL Pensioners Association was inaugurated and in Cuddalore Circle Conference was conducted in 2008. Com.DG was the president and Com Ramarao was the Secretary. They took active part in the formation of our AIBSNLPWA which serves well for the welfare of the Pensionersof BSNL and DOT.
Circle Secy Com.Muthiyalu spoke about general problems like interest in Bank FDs are very low and the Govt should protect the financial security of seniors.

At the age of 85 Sri R.Rajangam a retired senior telegraph master attended with a stick in one hand wished everyone present. A lot of senior and DOT retired people from CTO CHENNAI attended with great enthusiasm. A branch conference witnesses pensioners from Bangalore Tiruchirapalli, Tuthukudi and Tenkasi not only for participation but also to meet their old friends. A lot of members came with their spouse as requested and there was a good representations of lady members. The arrangements in an A/C Auditorium and timely supply of food and other arrangements were appreciated by all participants

Com DG,  who knows every one by name and loved by the entire gathering gave a soul melting speech which was listened in rapt attention. He told that the One increment case has been adjourned to September 2018, Pension cannot be notional our side is very strong. For the 7th CPC implementation the DOP&PW wants justification from the concerned department but the DOT simply forwards our demands without any justification. We are pressing the matter and hope to achieve the goal.
Our GS Com Natarajan in his speech advised to make the 18th july dharna a memorable one with more members in the dharna and send resolution to the Prime Minister's office and to Hon Jitendra singh the minister for personnel and Pension. He explained the achievements of the association getting family pension to some deserving but unknown People. He lauded  the branch's effort for organising all senior pensioners for their A.G.B. He explained the Rule 37A of C.C.S Pension Rules and our efforts to get pension revision after the 6th C.P.C. He also said no PSU had any pension revision. Assuring the gathering that the Pension revision from 1-1-2017 will also be achieved though it will be tougher.

Pensioners and members spoke appreciating the efforts of the secretary and others for giving a good and golden oppurtunity.

Com K Muthiyalu  Circle Secy Tamilnadu Circle  in a brief Speech explained the difficulties in functioning as shortage of staff causing problems everywhere. A retired General Manager and close associate of Telegraph Shri. V S Balakrishnan spoke extending all support for the organization including financial support. Comrades V Ramarao felicitated the gathering and explained the need to start such an organisation.  Com. V Sankara Narayanan , A S Subbarayan , Ghouse Basha, N Munisami, N . B. S Mani

S Sampathkumar, S CHELLAMMA, T. M S Ragavan, T. N Ramanujachari all spoke well of the meeting. Sri R Ranganathan wanted to know whether a similar meeting be arranged year after year. Every one applauding confirmed their approvals.  Com Kalidas delivered the vote of thanks and in his speech he thanked all  CHQ, TN Circle , Chennai Telephones and STR  office bearers for their participation and thanked all the New members and members who have paid life subscription and all who had given donations voluntarily like our senior most 94 years old shri S Rangasamy.
In the afternoon session, Sathyanarayanan secretary of the Tfc Div presented the Annual report followed by Financial report by the treasurer Com.N.B.S. Mani which were approved by the body. 

With cheerful memorable, lingering  and pleasant moments the  13^th A.G.B. of  the Chennai Traffic Division submits its glory to the powerful and mighty Circle and All India organizations.
