Hospital, Tiruchy was the Reception Committee President of our Circle Conference conducted in Trichy. He also gave a very valuable awareness lecture on Heart Care in our Conference. Now he has been adjudged as the Best Doctor in Tamilnadu by the Indian Medical Association. Dr Senthilkumar Nallusamy, chief cardiologist, Rana Hospital, Tiruchy has been awarded the ‘Tamil Nadu Best Doctor Award’ in the field of ‘Community Service’ on the eve of Doctor’s Day 2019, conferred by the Indian Medical Association (IMA).

Dr Senthilkumar Nallusamy, chief cardiologist, Rana Hospital, Tiruchy has been awarded the ‘Tamil Nadu Best Doctor Award’ in the field of ‘Community Service’ on the eve of Doctor’s Day 2019, conferred by the Indian Medical Association (IMA).
He had achieved a Guinness World Record in 2017 for the
largest awareness lecture on organ donation and “placed Tiruchy in the
World Map”. He had also organised the ‘First Organ Donation Pledging Programme’
in Tiruchy, besides organising the first awareness rally with his schoolmates
for organ donation.
Dr
Senthilkumar Nallusamy has donated and installed the ‘First Automatic External
Defibrillator (AED)’ in Tiruchy at a public place. The AED is a machine which
can save precious lives in an unfortunate event of a cardiac arrest.
He has
also conducted the ‘First Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) hands-on
workshop’ here for the general public exclusively for auto drivers to create
awareness about CPR, which is an emergency procedure to save a life in the event
of a cardiac arrest.
An
eminent cardiologist, he has delivered several cardiac awareness lectures for
the last 17 years in and around Tiruchy at various schools, colleges,
associations,
bank employees and police personnel in which more than one lakh people have
benefitted.
He also provided a helping hand
to the rural areas through tele-medicine under the Provision of Urban Amenities
to Rural Areas Project (PURA ) which was inaugurated in 2006 by the late
President Dr A PJ Abdul Kalam.
He has also authored a book for
the general public “How to protect your heart”, which was released in 2012 by
former President Pranab Mukherjee.
As the founder-chairman of
‘Senthil Prabha Trust’, he has been doing various services to the
differently-abled people and to the Gaja cyclone-affected people.
A number of dignitaries including
Tamil Nadu Health Minister Dr C. Vijayabaskar congratulated Dr Senthilkumar
Nallusamy for being chosen for this IMA Award.
We wish him to receive many and many more awards for his life saving noble service to the needy people.
